Meet Rock-a-Baby Airlines

And so it passed, a very successful game jam. I feel that this post needs to be, first and foremost, opened with a very sincere and heartfelt thanks to my fellow developers, who poured every last drop of their blood into making the deadline and believing in the absurdest (at best) idea of an airplane filled with screaming toddlers, left to their own bemusement.

It might seem like a typical thing to say but more and more I believe it became typical because of how true it is – it’s one thing to talk the talk, but it’s in walking the walk where you’ll find the people that matter. These fellas stuck till the end, even way after their tasks were done and in some cases even to their own sleep-deprived detriment. Things like these matter, they make us better at what we do and I can’t stress enough how proud I am of the work we put out in these past 3 days and in such an organized and cohesive way.

It’s not perfect, yeah, it can never be. But it doesn’t matter. We did it for us, we did it for fun and we already have what we came for – the overwhelming sense of self-accomplishment and the tingling sparkle of a job well done at the end of the day. Anything else is just icing on the cake 🙂

Cheers to you, João, Frederico, Ricardo and Ana. Now bring me that horizon, filled with platforming machos, exploding infants and minimalistic sensibilities applied over the mechanics of a multiplayer moustache trimming game!

It is now 7am and I now feel… tired. But happy.

Very happy.

Speaking about the game, well, go play it!

Maybe you can also help us spread the word about it. I hear there’s a vote to determine the top 10 best projects out of this jam. Now, I don’t want to boast but I can confirm it’s just as fun as it looks.

Don’t believe me? Take a look:

These babies hate flying!
Listen to their needs and perform the correct actions to keep them happy!

You have an entire trip ahead of you, Shirley, you must be swift and keep them from disturbing the passengers…

This game was done under the #indiesvspewdiepie game jam and was created in 72 hours. We feature hysterical babies, a cute and serviceable art style and lots of chaotic fun!
